Borders has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. As a proposed part of its restructuring, it will be shutting down nearly a third of its locations. Out of the nearly 200 locations, it appears that all of its stores in the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington metro areas will remain open.
