Where is my Oregon bankruptcy filed?

In Oregon, the District of Oregon Bankruptcy Court has two offices of the clerk. One in Eugene and one in Portland. Whether your case is filed in Portland or Eugene depends on which county you currently reside.

If you live in Coos, Benton, Curry, Douglas, Josephine, Jackson, Lane, Klamath, Lake, Lincoln, Linn, Polk or Marion county, your bankruptcy must be filed in the Eugene office. If you live in any other county, your case must be filed in the Portland office.

Once your case is filed, all subsequent document filings in your bankruptcy must be filed in the office where the case is pending.
