The District of Oregon Bankruptcy Court has two offices of the clerk. The specific location for filing bankruptcy petitions or other documents is determined by the county in which you reside.
If you reside in Benton, Coos, Curry, Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Lake, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion or Polk counties, your bankruptcy must be filed at the Eugene office at 405 E 8th Ave #2600, Eugene, OR 97401. If you live in any other county, your bankruptcy must be filed in the Portland office at 1001 SW 5th Ave #700, Portland OR 97204.

We live in Bend /Deschutes Cnty can we file in Porltand? Also we were told to file Chapter 7 by our tax person due past IRS taxes we owe and also personal debt. We do not own a home. We gross husband and I about $7200.00 a month and I was told since we gross over $5,000.00 we cannot file Chapter 7? Is that true. You can file in Portland but your actual hearing will be in Bend. You may be able to file Chapter 7 provided that you have the right sort of expenses, but I will say at the outset that you will more than likely have to file Chapter 13.
