The Honorable Thomas Renn has been appointed to serve as a judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Oregon and will the fill the vacancy in Eugene, Oregon left when Bankruptcy Judge Albert E. Radcliffe died in January this year.

Before his appointment, Judge Renn worked as a Chapter 7 panel trustee in the Portland division of the Oregon bankruptcy court for the last nine years, handling nearly 14,000 cases.

Prior to becoming a Chapter 7 panel trustee, Judge Renn practiced law, wrote a book containing an annual survey of bankruptcy law and taught business law.

Judge Renn has been an active participant in the Oregon State Bar, serving both as Chair and officer of the Debtor- Creditor Section Executive Committee. Judge Renn has contributed to numerous bankruptcy related supplements, journals and newsletters.

Judge Renn’s Chambers will be located in Eugene, Oregon.
