I would wait until your bankruptcy has been discharged and then very quickly take out at least ten dollars on it immediately and pay it off.

My question is this: I'd like to use a JCPenney credit card for like 10.00 only to keep the card current (It hasn't been used in three years) and this would hopefully help me retain a "history" on my credit report. I would pay the ten dollars off and keep the balance at zero where it is now. The problem is that I've just filed bankruptcy. What are your comments on this? I clearly do not want to sound like I have not "learned my lesson" because I have. Like I stated, it's not to shop, but to retain some form of good credit.
